Odaily Planet Daily News According to Reuters: Senior Iranian officials indicated that under a draft memorandum with the United States, Tehran has agreed neither to produce nor acquire nuclear weapons. In the draft memorandum, the US agreed to allow Tehran to dilute its stockpile of highly enriched uranium within Iran, with the specific mechanism to be discussed over the next 60 days. According to the draft memorandum, the US will waive oil sanctions on Iran for a specified period, permitting Iran to sell oil and generate revenue. Iran will immediately reopen the Strait of Hormuz to all commercial vessels, while the US will lift its naval blockade. The US agrees to release $25 billion in frozen Iranian assets, through means including direct cash transfers, cooperation with regional countries, and financial credit lines. (Jin Shi)
