The White House is currently attempting to reach a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Iran to end the conflict and initiate in-depth nuclear negotiations, hoping to have experts on standby when talks begin. According to mediating US officials and regional sources, the US and Iran still have differences on several details of the MOU. Sources described the negotiations as being in the final stages, but whether an agreement can ultimately be reached remains unclear. A US official stated: "The meeting in Oak Ridge does not mean a deal is imminent, but it indicates the negotiations have entered a very serious phase, with a high likelihood of reaching an agreement.
