Trapped vessel provides audio recording; US and Iran continue standoff over commercial shipping passage
According to audio recordings from the ship's radio public channel provided by crew members of a trapped commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy and US military aircraft separately hailed and warned the relevant ships on the 30th.
The radio recording shows that on the evening of the 30th local time, the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy issued a stern warning to vessels in the Persian Gulf and Sea of Oman, stating that the Strait of Hormuz remains closed and only ships that have obtained permission from the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy and are sailing according to Iran's designated routes may pass. Any violation of the above regulations will seriously endanger the safety of maritime navigation.
The Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Navy also stated that any US Navy intervention in the management of the Strait of Hormuz or disruption of navigational order will be met with severe military countermeasures. (CCTV News)
