US Defense Secretary: Trump Very Patient in US-Iran Talks, "Any Deal Would Be a Good Deal"

Odaily Planet Daily News U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said at the 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue that U.S. President Donald Trump believes any deal reached between the U.S. and Iran would be beneficial, adding that Trump is very patient in achieving this.

Hegseth said: "I spoke with President Trump this morning, and he wanted me to reiterate how patient he is in ensuring the 'historic effort' the U.S. is undertaking. 'Any deal (with Iran) would be a good deal, a great deal.' He is very patient about seeing it through." The 23rd Shangri-La Dialogue opened in Singapore on the evening of the 29th, with over 550 participants including political leaders, defense officials, and experts from more than 40 countries and regions.
