Musk's Tweets and the Prospectus Contradict Each Other, SpaceX IPO Information Disclosure Raises Market Doubts

2026-05-29 12:08

Odaily Planet Daily News SpaceX formally submitted its IPO prospectus last week, but its CEO Elon Musk's recent social media posts detailing the company's computing power lease agreement with Anthropic have shown clear discrepancies with the content of the prospectus. The prospectus states that the cooperation between the two parties will last until 2029, with a monthly rent of $125 million; Musk, however, claimed the agreement is only a short-term 180-day lease, with either party able to terminate the cooperation with 90 days' notice.

This discrepancy has made it difficult for investors to assess the company's valuation, and industry experts have also raised questions about the standardization of the information disclosure. Additionally, analysts have pointed out that the prospectus is missing several key data points. SpaceX is expected to go public on June 12, with the company currently valued at over one trillion USD and continuing to operate at a loss. (CNBC)
