Iranian Official: Any Final Agreement Signed with the US Must Align with Iran's National Interests

Odaily News, according to a report by Iran's Tasnim News Agency on the 27th, Boroujerdi, a member of the Iranian Parliament's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission, stated that any final agreement signed with the United States must align with Iran's national interests. Boroujerdi said that according to the preliminary draft agreement between Iran and the US, the first step for the US would be to commit to a comprehensive 60-day ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon. The draft agreement also calls for the unfreezing of a majority of Iran's frozen assets and the lifting of the maritime blockade. Boroujerdi stated that Iran's diplomatic institutions and state system will not make decisions based on posts by US President Donald Trump. What matters to Iran is the final outcome of the negotiations; any final document signed must be formulated within the framework of Iran's red lines and align with the interests of the Iranian people and the nation.
