Iranian Foreign Ministry: The U.S. violated the ceasefire agreement

Odaily News, in a statement on Tuesday, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that the U.S. launched an attack in Hormozgan Province in southern Iran, which constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement. On Monday, the U.S. military carried out strikes in southern Iran targeting vessels attempting to lay mines and missile launch positions; the U.S. described these actions as defensive measures.

Earlier on Tuesday, Iranian media reported that explosions were heard in the port city of Bandar Abbas in the province. The Iranian Foreign Ministry statement pointed out: "In the past 48 hours, the United States has seriously violated the ceasefire agreement in the Hormozgan region... Iran demands that the U.S. authorities take responsibility for all consequences arising from such aggressive and unjustified actions." (Jinshi)
