Trump will prominently host Walsh's swearing-in ceremony at the White House

Odaily Planet Daily News According to the Wall Street Journal, White House officials revealed that Trump will host the swearing-in ceremony for the incoming Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Walsh at the White House on Friday. This ceremony highlights the high importance Trump places on this appointment. When Trump nominated Powell to lead the Federal Reserve during his first term in 2018, Powell's swearing-in ceremony was held at the Fed, and Trump did not attend. The last Federal Reserve Chairman to be sworn in at the White House was Greenspan, who took office in 1987. All subsequent ceremonies were held at the Fed. The last president to attend such a ceremony was George W. Bush, who attended Bernanke's swearing-in in 2006. Later that same year, Walsh was sworn in as a Federal Reserve Governor at the Eisenhower Executive Office Building by Vice President Dick Cheney.
