Speaking on the sidelines of the BRICS Foreign Ministers' Meeting, he stated that Iran is trying to maintain the current ceasefire to create room for diplomatic efforts. According to multiple media reports, Araghchi emphasized Iran's long-standing lack of trust in the U.S. and stated that any communication under the current situation depends on whether the U.S. shows a "serious and credible stance."
