A Qatari LNG carrier has passed through the Strait of Hormuz for the first time in about 70 days
Odaily Planet Daily News: Shipping tracking information updated on the 10th by the "Maritime Traffic Website" shows that a Qatari liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier successfully passed through the Strait of Hormuz, has entered the Gulf of Oman, and is heading towards Pakistan. It is reported that this is the first Qatari LNG carrier to pass through the Strait of Hormuz since the US and Israel launched military operations against Iran approximately 70 days ago.
The track map shows that the vessel used a new shipping channel recently activated by Iran. The LNG carrier sent its location via the Automatic Identification System on the 9th, indicating it had entered the Strait of Hormuz, and subsequently stopped transmitting location signals for an extended period. Updated shipping tracking information on the 10th shows that the vessel has successfully passed through the strait and entered the Gulf of Oman. (Xinhua News Agency)
