Odaily Planet Daily News: World Health Organization (WHO) spokesperson Christian Lindmeier stated on the 8th that response actions have been launched for the hantavirus outbreak in accordance with the International Health Regulations. The WHO is working closely with authorities in Cape Verde, Spain, the Netherlands, South Africa, the United Kingdom, and Argentina, as well as the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control. Lindmeier said that contact tracing for potentially infected individuals is ongoing. "We are tracking everyone, we are looking at airplane and ship seating charts, and we may even track a person's movements further to see where they have been or who they may have had close contact with," he said.
