South Korea Recovers 33.9 Billion Won in Cross-Border Tax Over Nine Months, to Receive Overseas Crypto Asset Reports from Next Year

Odaily Planet Daily News: Since the launch of a new system in July 2025, the National Tax Service of South Korea has recovered 33.9 billion won in delinquent taxes over the past nine months through cross-border tax cooperation, accounting for the majority of the total cross-border recovery since 2015.

According to reports, starting next year, South Korea will receive virtual asset transaction data from 56 countries under a new crypto asset reporting framework and plans to exchange information on overseas real estate holdings and transactions from 2030. (The Korea Times)
