Hubei Solves First Virtual Currency Theft Case, Involving Funds Over 100 Million Yuan

According to Odaily Planet Daily, Guo Tingyu, a network security police officer from the Qingshan District Sub-bureau of the Wuhan Public Security Bureau, participated in the investigation and solving of Hubei's first virtual currency theft case. By tracking fund flows and analyzing fake wallet codes, the police identified and dismantled a theft gang involved in cases exceeding 100 million yuan. All five suspects have been apprehended.
The report states that the gang induced users to download fake virtual currency wallet apps, thereby stealing their coins, with a cumulative download count exceeding 10,000. Guo Tingyu also participated in solving multiple virtual currency-related criminal cases. (Hubei Daily)
