Republican leadership calls on Lutnick to halt crypto PAC political spending in Texas

Odaily Planet Daily News: Senior Republican leaders recently called U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick, urging him to intervene in the spending plans of Fellowship PAC, a crypto political action committee backed by his former company Cantor Fitzgerald, in the state of Texas.

Earlier disclosures, the PAC had reported to the FEC its intention to spend $1.75 million to support Ken Paxton, raising concerns within the party about its involvement in a sensitive primary race. According to sources, the PAC ultimately did not air the related advertisements, and Republican officials subsequently stated that the concerns had been alleviated. Fellowship PAC, which is linked to Tether, previously announced plans to raise $100 million for the 2026 elections and has so far raised approximately $11 million. (Axios)
