Odaily Odaily reports that the Central Bank of Iran has confirmed the first transit fee collected from vessels passing through the Strait of Hormuz has been credited to its account in the form of "cash foreign exchange." Earlier, there were reports suggesting that Iran had collected the Strait of Hormuz transit fees in the form of "cryptocurrency." Earlier today, Haji Babaei, the Deputy Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of Iran, stated that Iran has received the first payment for Strait of Hormuz transit fees and has deposited it into the central bank's account.
