CME Group's March Cryptocurrency Contracts Average Daily Trading Volume Grows 19%, Notional Value Reaches $7.98 Billion

Odaily News: Derivatives market Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group (CME Group) announced that the average daily trading volume for its cryptocurrency contracts in March reached 210,000 contracts, with a notional value of $7.98 billion, representing a 19% increase. Among these, the average daily trading volume for Micro Bitcoin futures contracts grew by 6% to 77,000 contracts; the average daily trading volume for Ethereum futures contracts surged by 53% to 19,000 contracts. Furthermore, the overall average daily trading volume for all contracts on the CME platform in March reached 41.1 million contracts, setting a new monthly record and marking a 33% year-over-year increase. The average daily trading volume for the first quarter reached 36.2 million contracts, setting a new quarterly record and representing a 22% year-over-year increase. (PRNewswire)
