Trump: Considering a Gradual De-escalation of Military Actions Against Iran
Odaily News According to a post by U.S. President Donald Trump on his social media platform "Truth Social," as they consider gradually de-escalating the major military operations in the Middle East targeting the Iranian regime, they are very close to achieving the established objectives:
1. Completely degrade Iran's missile capabilities, launch systems, and all related facilities.
2. Destroy Iran's defense industrial base.
3. Eliminate Iran's naval and air forces, including air defense weapon systems.
4. Absolutely prevent Iran from even approaching nuclear capability; simultaneously, the United States must always maintain a posture to swiftly and forcefully counter any such developments.
5. Protect U.S. allies in the Middle East, including Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and other nations, with the highest level of intensity.
Trump stated that the guarding and patrolling of the Strait of Hormuz should be undertaken by other nations that use the strait when necessary, and the United States will no longer bear this responsibility. If invited to assist, the U.S. is willing to support these nations' operations in the Strait of Hormuz. However, once the Iranian threat is completely eliminated, such assistance will no longer be necessary. Importantly, for these countries, this would be a relatively easy military operation.
