North Carolina Proposes Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Bill, Passes First Reading on Same Day

Odaily News According to a post by Bitcoin Magazine, North Carolina has formally proposed the Strategic Bitcoin Reserve Bill (S327), which passed its first reading on the day after its submission (March 19). The bill was submitted on March 18, 2025, having undergone approximately 12 months of committee review prior. Currently, there are three similar state-level bills pending review in the United States. If all are passed, it is estimated that state-level Bitcoin holdings could reach $2 billion by 2027.
