Mastercard Launches Crypto Partner Program, Over 85 Institutions Including Circle and Binance Join

The aim is to promote the scaling of digital assets and integrate them into existing payment systems. The program will provide services such as card programs, global merchant acceptance, and cross-border settlement for crypto companies. Currently, stablecoins are seen as a potential alternative to traditional payment networks. Both Mastercard and Visa have been involved in stablecoin-related businesses since 2021, attempting to position themselves as bridges between digital assets and the existing payment system.
