美联储纪要转向鹰派:降息讨论淡出视野,加息风险重新浮现
Odaily Planet Daily News: According to a Wall Street Journal analysis, the Federal Reserve meeting minutes show that officials have largely moved away from the discussions that dominated FOMC debates over the past two years—whether to cut interest rates—and are instead beginning to more seriously weigh the possibility of raising rates. The minutes noted that "most participants emphasized... that if inflation remains stubbornly above 2%, further policy tightening may be necessary." The minutes are from Jerome Powell's final meeting as Fed Chair, highlighting how the Middle East conflict is reshaping the outlook of the rate-setting committee. Kevin Warsh is set to lead the Federal Reserve after being sworn in at the White House on Friday. The Fed's next policy meeting is scheduled for June 16-17. (Jinshi)
