Hong Kong, China — March 8, 2025. The DPIN Global Launch Summit and AI+DePIN Summit Forum were successfully held in Hong Kong. The Decentralized Computing Network (DPIN) aims to create an efficient and transparent computing resource platform and promote the application of computing technology in various industries. This summit brought together leaders and experts from authoritative institutions, academia, industry and the community to discuss the integration and innovation of the decentralized physical infrastructure network (DePIN) and artificial intelligence (AI).
AI+DePIN Summit Forum
Hong Kong Blockchain Association (HKBA) President Tong Yi presented a membership certificate to DPIN Foundation Director and blockchain expert Dr. Toni Goh in recognition of his contribution, marking DPIN's recognition by more institutions. In his speech, Tong Yi emphasized the importance of blockchain technology in the digital economy, believing that it can enhance transparency and security, promote industry innovation, and call for the promotion of industry standardization and sustainable development.
Professor Alex Siow of the National University of Singapore elaborated on the key role of GPUs in supercomputing, especially in medical research, climate science, and AI. He pointed out that as AI and cloud gaming increase demand for GPU computing power, decentralized computing networks such as DPIN will reduce costs and improve efficiency, emphasizing its potential.
Wang Peng, head of the BCH Ecological Fund, shared the outlook for Web3.0, pointed out the urgency of building data infrastructure, and believed that the popularization of RWA tokens will promote the mainstreaming of digital finance, DePIN will provide support for it, and AI applications will empower the real economy.
DPIN Global Launch Ceremony
Daniel Schwartz, president of operations of the DPIN Foundation, delivered a speech to introduce the vision and strategy of DPIN. He said that DPIN optimizes resource allocation, improves global computing infrastructure, provides users with efficient and low-cost solutions, connects the real world with the digital economy, and promotes the implementation of technology.
QPIN CEO Shawn Tham emphasized that QPIN technology is the core of driving the development of DPIN. As the technology provider of the DPIN project, QPIN not only provides the core decentralized computing power technology, but also determines the depth and breadth of the development of the DPIN ecosystem. He pointed out that QPIN will provide practical application value for the next generation of ultra-large-scale computing power networks, and plans to cooperate with Singapore A*STAR to jointly promote the development of decentralized computing power technology. Shawn emphasized that the core advantage of QPIN lies in its efficient physical infrastructure and flexible smart contract architecture, which can achieve dynamic computing resource allocation by improving the performance and applicability of data centers. He further explained that QPIN's business model adopts a closed-loop design of 'cloud + chain', aiming to provide users with more efficient and secure computing power. In addition, QPIN will also introduce a token incentive mechanism to encourage users to share and utilize computing resources, thereby promoting the widespread application of decentralized infrastructure.
Pekka Kelkka, president of DPIN computing strategy, shared the trend of GPU computing power, saying that the demand for AI training computing power has doubled every 3.4 months since 2012, and the global demand is expected to reach 160 exaFLOPS in 2025. He pointed out that the demand for large-scale model training and cloud gaming has driven the growth of computing power, and DPIN will support open source AI applications such as DeepSeek to demonstrate the advantages of global distributed computing.
At the launch ceremony, Daniel Schwartz, President of Operations of the DPIN Foundation, Dr. Aima Koh, President of DPIN Education, Pekka Kelkka, President of DPIN Computing Strategy, and Dr. Toni Goh, Director of the DPIN Foundation, jointly unveiled the event, marking the global launch of DPIN, which is committed to promoting decentralized computing power applications, integrating technical teams and communities, and promoting innovation.
During the community sharing session of the summit, representatives from different communities such as India, Indonesia and Vietnam expressed their firm support for DPIN. Community members will continue to promote the concept of decentralized computing power and actively participate in the construction of the DPIN ecosystem. All communities will work together to promote the development of DPIN and contribute to the realization of the vision of decentralized infrastructure.
Looking ahead
The successful holding of the DPIN 2025 Global Launch Summit and AI+DePIN Summit Forum marks a new milestone in the field of decentralized computing infrastructure. The launch of the global decentralized GPU computing network by DPIN not only lays the foundation for technological innovation, but also provides broad prospects for promoting the combination of AI and DePIN, laying the foundation for future cooperation and jointly promoting the further development and innovation of decentralized computing technology.
Looking ahead, as a leader in decentralized computing networks, DPIN will demonstrate the potential to optimize resource allocation, reduce costs, and provide strong computing support for fields such as AI, games, and 3D rendering. By connecting global technical teams and communities, DPIN will promote the widespread popularization of decentralized computing power and promote the development of a safer and more transparent digital economy. As technology continues to evolve, DPIN will lead industry innovation and truly realize the huge value of decentralized computing network infrastructure and user experience.
