From December 11th to 13th, 2024, Gate.io’s new CGEO Laura K. Inamedinova attended the Global Blockchain Show and Global Family Office Investment Summit in Dubai, demonstrating her leadership and vision in promoting cooperation between traditional finance and blockchain technology.

Reshaping the future of DeFi derivatives

At the Global Blockchain Expo, Laura hosted a roundtable discussion on the theme of "DeFi Derivatives: Trends, Innovations and the Road Ahead", exploring the reasons why decentralized finance has not yet surpassed the centralized derivatives market in terms of scale, and deeply analyzing the development needs of synthetic asset protocols. Experts at the meeting analyzed key shifts in the industry, including the rise of AI-driven trading systems, the impact of MiCA regulations in 2025, and the potential impact of Ethereum staking ETFs on the derivatives market.

In another discussion on "How to Unlock the Potential of Web3", Laura led a discussion on strategies for removing barriers to user adoption in applications. Topics included how to reactivate dormant crypto users and design blockchain applications with Web2-style simplicity. The discussion also shared TON's experience in successfully integrating Telegram's user base and practical advice on how companies can effectively adopt stablecoins.

Connecting traditional finance and decentralized finance

At the Global Family Office Investment Summit, Laura moderated a diverse roundtable discussion with global investors and family offices. The discussion centered around finding synergies between traditional investment strategies and decentralized technologies, providing a platform for attendees to exchange actionable insights.

The exchange highlights Gate.io’s mission to build a bridge between the traditional financial system and the decentralized future, driving cross-industry understanding and collaboration.
