Today, the NFT aggregation trading platform Blur announced the official launch of Blur V2, introducing the new feature "Trait bidding" and reducing Gas fees by 50%. After the news came out, the BLUR token briefly rose by nearly 2% and then fell to around $0.33.

According to the official tweet, the specific content of this update is as follows:

1. As part of the Blur V2 upgrade, bids from Blur V1 will no longer be valid. If you had previously placed a bid, please make sure to recreate your bid on Blur V2.

2. Blur V2 has made significant optimizations to save Gas. Now, the transaction Gas cost on Blur has been reduced by 50%; at the current Gas price, buying a single NFT on Blur V2 can save $16. All smart contracts on Blur V2 have been audited by Chain Light (Note: the previous smart contract auditing partner was Code 4 rena).

3. Trait Bidding. Previously, users on Blur could only bid on multiple collections at once, but now in V2, you can bid on traits of medium, rare, or any traits you want; all collections support trait bidding, but only specific collections can earn trait bidding points.

4. Trait Bidding Points. The specific score depends on how much higher the trait bid is compared to the highest collection bid and the supply of the trait. Currently, only 12 collections support trait bidding points, which are: Wrapped Cryptopunks, Azuki, Milady, DeGods, Bored Ape Yacht Club, Mutant Ape Yacht Club, PudgyPenguins, Otherdeed, BoredApeKennelClub, CloneX, Beanz, Doodles.
