Attacks against ex-Balance CEO Richard Burton"complaint", Uniswap founder Hayden Adams responded:
1/ Ric was one of the many early supporters I got to know about 8 months into the development of Uniswap.
2/ I've been hesitant to contest this since he's currently suing me (most of his lawsuits have been dismissed), but I wanted to share some details to help clarify the facts.
3/ Ric once had the opportunity to invest in Uniswap, and I gave him a SAFE without filling in the amount, so that he can fill in the amount he wants to invest. He did not invest, and said it was because Balance's funds were only enough for one month at the time.
4/ Ric confuses timing with facts, conflates his rejection of investment with his previous grant, to clarify, he gave me a grant early on and later declined the investment opportunity. When I later offered to pay it all off, he refused.
5/ Ric stated that it was his offer and false to ask me to raise money from Paradigm. I met Paradigm researcher Dan Robinson at Flashbots co-founder Phil Daian's apartment before I knew Ric, we became friends, and Dan introduced Paradigm after joining.
6/ Ric's assertion that his claim for breach of contract will go to trial is also a lie, which has been dismissed by a judge and is on the public record.
7/ I could go on and on, there are a lot of lies in his recent tweets. Having said that, I ended up not being in touch with Ric because he treated everyone around him badly, including my co-workers and friends.
