Odaily News Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey launched a decentralized peer-to-peer chat application, BitChat, which runs on a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) mesh network, supports short-term encrypted message transmission, and is completely offline. It has the ability to resist censorship and communication in disconnected environments. Messages can be transmitted through node relays, up to 300 meters away.
