Odaily News The UK financial regulator has proposed lifting a ban on retail investors buying exchange-traded products tied to cryptocurrencies, seeking to enhance competitiveness in response to the resurgent US crypto market under Trump. The Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) said the change means that existing exchange-traded notes tied to tokens such as Bitcoin and Ethereum can be sold to retail buyers as long as they are traded on FCA-approved exchanges. Last year, regulators allowed such products to be traded on venues such as the London Stock Exchange, but only for professional investors. (Jinshi)
