JPMorgan: Ethereum upgrade failed to effectively boost network activity

Odaily News JPMorgan Chase (JPM) said in a research report that despite the continuous upgrades of the Ethereum blockchain, its activity has not increased significantly. The bank pointed out that average fees and total fees have fallen since the Dencun upgrade in March 2024. Futures positions show that institutions have played an important role in the recent rise of ETH. Data shows that the number of daily transactions on Ethereum has fallen by about 12%, the number of daily active addresses has decreased by about 20%, and Ethereum has dropped to 17th in the weekly revenue ranking of all blockchains and applications.
