Sui Foundation announces additional $10 million for ecological security construction, and will strengthen audit and bug bounty support
Odaily News According to official news, in response to the user losses caused by the recent Cetus incident, the Sui Foundation announced that it will invest an additional $10 million in ecological security-related construction. Although this vulnerability originated from the math library used by Cetus and has no direct relationship with the Sui protocol and Move language, the official said that it will still improve the platform's security support for developers from an overall perspective.
The additional funds will be used for auditing, bug bounties, formal verification and other measures, and the specific implementation will be jointly agreed upon with the developer community. The Sui team emphasized that the platform has been designed with smart contract security as the core, but also admitted that "any system design cannot completely avoid human code defects", and called on ecosystem co-builders to take this incident as an opportunity to strengthen the security of key codes and jointly promote the maturity and stability of the network.
