Fraudsters Impersonating Coinbase Employees Scam Artist Ed Suman of Over $2 Million in Cryptocurrency

Odaily News American artist Ed Suman lost about $2 million worth of crypto assets due to a carefully designed scam call. It is reported that an imposter claiming to be a "Coinbase security consultant" called and claimed that his account was at risk and asked him to cooperate in transferring assets to ensure "fund security." In the following days, the scammer continued to talk to the victim and guided him to transfer funds from the Coinbase account and eventually to a wallet address controlled by the scammer. The victim held BTC, ETH and multiple altcoins on the Coinbase platform, with a total amount of more than $2 million. (Bloomberg)
