CryptoQuant CEO: Strategy purchase speed is faster than BTC mining, and has achieved an annualized deflation advantage of 2.23%

Odaily News Ki Young Ju, founder and CEO of CryptoQuant, posted on the X platform that Bitcoin has deflationary properties, and Strategy (formerly MicroStrategy) is currently buying more Bitcoin than it can mine. The company holds about 555,000 Bitcoins, which are illiquid and have no plans to sell.
He noted that this means that Strategy’s BTC holdings have an annual deflation rate of -2.23%, while other institutional investors who hold for the long term may enjoy higher deflationary advantages.
