Walrus Protocol Announces Token Economics: Total Supply of 5 Billion Tokens, 43% of Which is Reserved by the Community

Odaily News The Walrus protocol launched by Sui developer Mysten Labs announced its token economic model. The total supply of WAL tokens is 5 billion, and the initial circulation supply is 1.25 billion. The distribution of WAL tokens is: 10% for Walrus user airdrops, 43% for community reserves for funding, developer support and incentive programs, 30% for core contributors, 10% for storage node subsidies, and 7% for investors. The unlocking period is 12 months after the mainnet is released.
