Token Metrics CEO Says SEC Will Drop Lawsuit
2025-03-13 05:52:18

Odaily News , Token Metrics CEO Ian Balina said that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) will drop its lawsuit against it, ending a three-year legal dispute.
Balina posted on the social platform: “It’s official: the SEC is dropping the case against me. This lawsuit has never been just about me personally, but about the fairness of the crypto industry.”
The SEC initially accused Balina in September 2022 of violating U.S. securities laws by failing to disclose compensation for promoting the Sparkster (SPRK) token offering. However, the Token Metrics official account recently stated that the charges had been dropped, suggesting that the SEC's enforcement trends may be changing. (decrypt)
