U.S. Treasury Secretary Appoints Galaxy Digital Regulatory Advisor as Policy Advisor on Digital Assets and Blockchain Technology

Odaily News U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has appointed Galaxy Digital's regulatory adviser Tyler Williams as a policy adviser on digital assets and blockchain technology. Williams is currently the head of regulatory affairs at Galaxy Digital and teaches part-time at George Washington University Law School. He served as deputy assistant secretary of the Treasury for digital assets from 2018 to 2020, and has worked in the offices of U.S. Senator Thom Tillis and Representatives Robert Hurt and John Boehner. In addition, U.S. President Donald Trump signed an executive order this month requiring the Treasury and Commerce Departments to create a sovereign wealth fund, which is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
