Odaily News White House AI and cryptocurrency czar David Sacks held his first cryptocurrency-focused press conference on Tuesday, outlining legislative priorities and revealing the Trump administration’s first major moves to regulate the nascent industry: a market structure bill and a comprehensive stablecoin bill.
At an event attended by key Senate and House leaders, Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott said he intends to get two key cryptocurrency bills passed by the Senate before the end of President Trump’s 100th day in office, a deadline that is less than three months from today.
Scott added that a stablecoin bill introduced by Senator Bill Hagery on Tuesday could be the first to pass. (Decrypt)
