Odaily News In a filing with the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California, Coinbase requested the court to dismiss BiT Global's lawsuit opposing the platform's delisting of wBTC.
“The Court should dismiss BiT Global’s lawsuit in its entirety,” Coinbase said. “And it should do so with prejudice because the most fundamental failures in these complaints—including Coinbase’s lack of market power in light of BiT’s admitted dominance, the lack of any exclusionary conduct, the absence of any misrepresentations, and BiT’s repeated failure to prove injury—cannot be repaired.”
Coinbase announced in November 2024 that it would suspend wBTC trading from December 19. BiT Global filed a lawsuit on December 13, claiming that Coinbase's choice to delist the token harmed the wBTC market. The judge refused to issue a restraining order prohibiting the exchange from delisting wBTC. (Cointelegraph)
