Danish Tax Council proposes tax on unrealized crypto gains and losses
2024-10-24 04:50:03
Odaily News The Danish Tax Law Committee has recommended the introduction of a bill that could tax unrealized gains and losses on Danish cryptocurrency investors starting in 2026. The committee recommends that all crypto assets should be taxed under the same set of rules and considers three potential models for taxing crypto assets in the country. Danish Tax Minister Rasmus Stoklund said there are countless examples of Danish crypto investors being unfairly taxed under the common "capital gains tax" approach, and suggested that new tax rules should find a "simpler" way to tax crypto assets. It should be noted that these recommendations do not mean that the law will come into effect. (Cointelegraph)
