Odaily News Warpcast, a client for the decentralized social protocol Farcaster, has launched a native way to develop applications for the decentralized social media protocol. The tool system, called mini apps, went live on Tuesday and is similar to the existing Farcaster Frames feature, allowing users to embed DApps directly into their social media feeds. Warpcast developer horsesfacts explained: "The Mini-app view is a complete HTML/CSS/JS web page, so it is both simple and complex in some ways. It's simple because users can use a full interactive canvas and any web framework they want, and it's complex because it requires more content to set up than a simple image." Dan Romero, co-founder of Farcaster, said mini apps is a feature unique to Warpcast, "but it will work on any Farcaster-based application." (The Block)
