Foreign media: Trump accepts Bitcoin Lightning Network payment for campaign donations

Odaily News According to Bitcoin Magazine, Donald Trump has become the first US President (candidate) to accept campaign donations paid for via the Bitcoin Lightning Network. The Trump campaign team has partnered with OpenNode, a Bitcoin and Lightning Network infrastructure provider, to facilitate these donations. Earlier in May, the Trump campaign team officially announced that it would begin accepting cryptocurrency donations, and supporters can use "any cryptocurrency accepted through Coinbase Commerce products" to make donations. The campaign team stated: "Restrictions and disclosure requirements for cryptocurrency donations will follow the regulations of the Federal Election Commission."
