Odaily News Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart posted on the X platform that ProShares will launch a short Ethereum futures ETF (Short ETH Strategy ETF) next week, and trading will begin on October 16, Eastern Time, with the code SETH. The fund does not directly short ETH and aims to profit from a decline in the assets price. Analysts said the SEC expedited the approval of all long/traditional Ethereum futures ETFs, but set this ETF to take effect on the normal/expected date, and its filing was submitted in August along with other ETFs.
