Odaily News Encryption service provider Matrixport said in a report on Wednesday that historically, the fourth quarter of each year is usually the strongest quarter for Bitcoin, with average returns of more than 35% over the past nine years. Markus Thielen, director of research at Matrixport, wrote that if history is any guide, Bitcoin prices could reach $37,000 by the end of the year. October is typically a particularly strong month for Bitcoin, with positive returns in seven of the past nine years, averaging 20%. The report added that another potential catalyst in October is the second deadline related to Bitcoin spot ETF applications, when the US SEC will have to announce its decision or delay its decision on whether to approve these ETFs.
