Odaily News: The Layer2 network Public Goods Network (PGN), based on OP Stack, has officially launched its mainnet. After six months of network operation, PGN will assess and allocate fees based on accumulated data.
Gitcoin Grants 18 (GG18) will be running on PGN, and the donation round will take place from August 15th to August 29th, with applications opening on August 1st.
As previously reported on July 7th, Gitcoin introduced the Layer2 network Public Goods Network (PGN) based on OP Stack.
PGN is a highly composable EVM-compatible Rollup that plans to use most of its sequencer's net income to support the Ethereum ecosystem and other public goods.
After six months of mainnet operation, fees will be evaluated and allocated based on accumulated impact data. Participants can join the network alliance and collaborate on determining the allocation of sequencer fees. PGN commits to conducting at least two years of experiments and allows partners to run Dapps on PGN to support public goods funding.
Members of the PGN governance alliance include Protocol Guild, Public Nouns, Clr.fund, Giveth, Hypercerts, Protocol Labs, Octant, Eco, Hedgey, Gitcoin, etc. They will oversee the allocation of sequencer fees to ensure the growth and sustainability of the funding for public goods.
