Iran National News Agency Publishes Main Framework of 7-Point US-Iran Agreement Text: No Role for US in the Strait
According to Iran's official news agency, IRNA, the main framework of the memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US regarding the cessation of war includes the following:
1. The nuclear issue remains unchanged. The current memorandum does not involve agreements related to the nuclear issue, and Iran will not make new commitments. Negotiations on the nuclear issue will take place within 60 days after the agreement is signed.
2. Strait of Hormuz: Neither transfer of management nor a role for the US. Iran will not make any commitment regarding the transfer of management rights for the Strait of Hormuz. Future management arrangements for the strait will be resolved as a regional matter through dialogue and joint decision-making between Iran and Oman.
3. A complete end to the war on all fronts, including in Lebanon.
4. Unfreezing of Iran's frozen assets through a clear mechanism.
5. War reparations are placed on the agenda.
6. Details regarding the lifting of primary and secondary sanctions will be reserved for discussion in the final agreement.
7. Three topics for the final agreement and a 60-day negotiation period. (CCTV News)
